MEET CHEF ERICAL

"Best In Town"

Say the word “chef” and traditionally, it conjures up an image of five-star restaurants and gourmet food. However, this dynamic chef goes against all traditions. I am known for my great personality, robust flavors of food and love for helping people.

I began my career in the United States Navy working in foodservice for ten years. I then pursued an associate culinary degree at Cordon Bleu and completed a diploma certificate at Helm College. I also have completed an associate degree in Christian Ministry from In Christ International Bible School. I am currently working on my bachelor’s degree in public service and hope to enroll in a master’s program in Fall 2020 to study a dual degree in social work and business management.

I have over 20 years of catering and foodservice experience. I started cooking at the age of ten years old with my mother and grandmother. After graduating from high school, I joined the United States Navy and became a Culinary Specialist receiving many awards and cooking for over 5,000 cadets at each command. After ten years, my military career ended, and I worked for Super Target as the Senior Team Leader over the Deli and Grocery department and managed Popeyes Chicken.

I have always loved the catering industry, so I partnered up with several catering companies in Jacksonville Florida, and Atlanta Georgia to learn more about the catering industry. I started my own business shortly after and left corporate America. I decided to attend culinary school at Cordon Bleu and Helms College to perfect my craft. Later I moved my business to Warner Robins Georgia to better care for my mother while she battled with many health conditions.

I have served in several outreach programs in the community, former board member of Genesis Joy House Homeless shelter and currently, I have a catering business called Heaven on Earth Catering. I am stirring up the food industry by serving others in the community one meal at a time.
